Condition Report For Lot# 90:
Runs weakly and stops but is complete and sound and the balance is free, it winds fine and the wind indicator is functioning. The mvt has some very minor wear and some light oxidation around outer perimeter of bottom plate and a few fine scratches but otherwise fine. The silvered dial is very good with only very minor sporadic spotting and a very clean appearance. The brass tub is marked with matching serial #2170 and is housed in a later gimbaled mahogany box c1940 with replaced top lid that does not engage the latch. The key is a replacement. As recorded by Tony Mercer in "Chronometer Makers of the World", Negus used Mercer and later Kullberg movements (John David Negus and brother Thomas Stewart Negus).
Estimate: $900 - $1200
